Hugh James Law Firm
Category: Office Interiors
Abbey Glass designed and installed a striking red glass façade for Hugh James Law Firm, overcoming engineering and logistical challenges to enhance their image.
The project involved the design, manufacture, and installation of a striking structural red glass-fronted panel complemented by trims and fixings. This ambitious endeavour was undertaken to enhance the façade of the Hugh James Law Firm’s office, lending a modern and bold aesthetic that reflects the firm’s innovative ethos.
The client required a seamless integration of red laminated glass that would be visually striking, durable, and functional. The large size of the contemporary glass products presented a substantial engineering challenge, necessitating meticulous planning and execution.
The project was executed in collaboration with ISG Pearce, a reputable construction company known for excellently managing complex builds. They supplied their structural expertise, supporting us in delivering such a large-scale glass delivery. Their experience was invaluable in navigating the logistical complications of such a significant installation.
The scale of the project, particularly the installation of 36.53m² panes of red laminated glass in the busy centre of Cardiff, posed notable logistical challenges. However, through effective project management and coordination with local authorities, the team successfully overcame these hurdles, executing the installation with precision.
The finished works stand proudly on display, embodying not only the impressive craftsmanship of Abbey Glass but also the bold vision of the Hugh James Law Firm.
“This project exemplifies our commitment to delivering high-quality, customised solutions. We are proud to have contributed to an iconic landmark in Cardiff,” Angela Worgan, Managing Director for Abbey Glass.
