Due to rapid expansion, we are excited to be recruiting for the brand new position of Procurement Officer. The ideal candidate will be resilient, organised, self-motivated with excellent negotiating skills as well as being team player. You will be working as part of our production team to ensure the highest quality of our products and ensuring the best prices on our stock.

Hours – 40hrs per week (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm)
Salary – Dependent on experience


Key Tasks:

Procurement

  • Overall responsibility for ordering fixings and materials for each job.
  • Demonstrate cost savings made on a month to month basis, working to defined annual KPIs.
  • Maintain good relationships with suppliers and review agreed pricing on a regular basis.
  • Use discretion to bulk order where possible to achieve greater cost reductions whilst adhering to delivery dates.
  • Maintain a diary of all planned cost reviews to ensure timely review.
  • Communicating clearly any issues in ordering with sales where required.
  • Regularly review pricing for and responsibility of ordering consumables / tools / fixings / goods / fixings / materials.
  • Responsibility for ordering of all PPE & uniform.
  • Responsibility for skip ordering and cullet scheme.
  • Reviews of Fuel cards and quarterly supplier reviews.
  • Responsibility for stationary and stillage ordering.
  • Adhere to quarterly defined budgets
  • Review spend on fuel cards ensuring best prices
  • Reduce cost and spend by finding alternative suppliers for glass
  • Ensuring stock is managed and logged
  • Monitor and control the frequency of control spend
  • Source best priced materials for each project
  • Work with all departments to highlight potential cost savings and work with those departments to deliver them.
  • Work with sales team on large projects to co-ordinate all materials establishing a clearly defined programme of delivery.
  • Work with sales team on projects to generate the best possible cost for the business and price for the customer.
  • Maintain price lists with regular updates as cost base changes.

Stock Control

  • Maintain and monitor agreed minimum stock levels.
  • Perform a stock check on all glass stock on a monthly basis, comparing glass ordered / glass waste (skips) / stock remaining.
  • Communicate any issues with stock ordering to Head of Operations and any sales staff where customers may be impacted.
